About Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is a federal territory located in the middle of Selangor State. Its latitute coordinates 3o8'51"N and longtitude coordinates 101o41'36"E. Kuala Lumpur is one of the three Federal Territory that Malaysia has.

Kuala Lumpur has a land area of about 243 km2. Kuala Lumpur is a flat land area, also known as the Klang Valley. It became the first territory of Malaysia on the 01-Feb-1974. However, it got its city status 2 years earlier on the 01-Feb-1972. Its population is about 1.6 million people.

Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. Therefore, it is the transportation hub of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is about 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur. This airport is connected to Kuala Lumpur by rail and road. By rail, it has KLIA Express which travels direct between KLIA and KL Sentral. Subang Airport which was Malaysia's main airport is now a terminal for low cost carrier and cargo plane.

The main sea hub for Kuala Lumpur is in Port Kang which is in the state of Selangor, about 64 km west of Kuala Lumpur. The ease traffic in KL city centre, the central bus station for express bus was move from Pudu Raya to Bukit Jalil. The central bus stations for buses travelling in KL and its surrounding towns are in Kota Raya area, central market area.
